Christoph has been involved in the ambulance service since 1999 following different first-aid courses and ambulance service "ride-alongs" that sparked his interest in emergency care and the emergency services during high school.

He has been a UK Paramedic since 2008 and is also a registered Ambulance Emergency Assistant in South Africa, following nearly 20 years of living and working in Cape Town, before moving to the UK in 2015. Since then he has published various books and articles, undertaken the role of peer-reviewer and editor and has now been a Lecturer in Paramedic Science for over 5 years.

Medical support, health & safety, security services and medical training have all been part of his roles over the last 20 years and have included time in Iraq, Kurdistan, South Africa, offshore Europe and Africa, as well as in the UK, of course.
